All By My Self
All By Myself is the title of several songs, the best known of which was a power ballad performed by Eric Carmen in 1975, has spawned numerous cover versions (see the table below) and is sometimes used as a karaoke song. The melody is based on Sergei Rachmaninoff's Piano Concerto No. 2 in C minor. The full version is seven minutes long, with an extended piano solo.
It is also the title of several unrelated songs, by artists including Irving Berlin, Big Bill Broonzy, Fats Domino, The Johnny Burnette Trio, Roy Orbison, Johnny Thunders and The Heartbreakers, Feeder, Green Day, and Haystak.
In a 2006 poll for a Channel 4 program "Britain's Favourite Break-up Songs", Eric Carmen's version of this song was voted 17th.
